A year round mecca for hikers and cyclists, Wrightwood has clean air
and many trails to follow. Trail maps are offered at a number of locations

Driving Tour of Wrightwood
A book about Wrightwood's past written by Pat Krig provides the visitor
with 22 historical stops around the area. The book is available in
many of the village stores. |
Earthquake
Tour
Another self-guided auto tour booklet, this time to see some of the
natural phenomena around Wrightwood caused by long-ago earthquakes.
The San Andreas Fault runs right through the village of Wrightwood. |
Jackson
Lake
You are invited to bring your fishing pole or canoe (no motorized
boats). The lake is regularly stocked with trout and there are picnic
tables and several barbecue pits for a relaxing afternoon. |

Pines Visitor Center

Across the road from Mt. High Ski Resort (west) is a beautiful wood
building currently under restoration. On the weekends, a section is
open as an interpretive center with staff from the Forest Service
o hand to answer questions about the area. |

Wrightwood is home to a number of camps and campgrounds. The facilities
vary and reservations for the campgrounds can be made via the U.S.
Forest Service or by calling 877-444-6777. Many camps are owned
or run by various organizations, groups or churches. |
